Jonathan Quick: Legendary Goaltender's Path to Success
Early Life and Career
Jonathan Quick was born in Milford, Connecticut on January 21st, 1986. He began playing hockey at a young age and quickly showed a natural talent for the game. Quick played for the Hamden High School hockey team, where he led them to a state championship in 2003. After graduating high school, Quick played for the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he was a two-time All-American.NHL Career
Quick was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2007-08 season and quickly became a starter. Quick led the Kings to their first Stanley Cup championship in 2012 and was named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner as the playoffs' MVP. He has since won two more Stanley Cups with the Kings in 2014 and 2016.Quick has been one of the most successful goaltenders in the NHL over the past decade. He has won the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goaltender twice, in 2010 and 2015. He has also been named to the NHL All-Star Game three times.
