Boeing Starliner Launch Slippage

Tentative May 20 Flight Date

NASA and Boeing teams are working to resolve an issue with an oxygen valve on the Atlas V rocket and will announce a new launch date soon.

The Crewed Flight Test was tentatively scheduled for a launch date of May 6, 2024, but due to a problem with an oxygen valve on the Atlas rocket and a subsequent scrub of the first launch attempt on May 8, the launch date has been postponed. Starliner's launch campaign starts 45 days before liftoff when United Launch Alliance begins stacking an Atlas V at Space Launch Complex 41. Starliner's crew access tower is the first new access tower to be built along Florida's Space Coast since the Apollo era. The launch of the ULA United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket and Boeing Starliner spacecraft is targeted for 12:25 p.m.
