NFL Insider Projects No. 4 Pick for Jones
The New York Giants may be willing to part ways with their young quarterback, Daniel Jones, according to recent speculation. NFL Network's Peter Schrager has projected them to trade up to the No. 4 selection in his latest mock draft to acquire a star player from the University of Michigan.
In March, Giants head coach Brian Daboll hinted at a similar possibility. However, the Giants still have their sixth overall pick from the 2019 NFL Draft, Daniel Jones, and he is entering the second season of a four-year, $160 million contract.
Jones, nicknamed "Danny Dimes," was born on May 27, 1997. He has shown flashes of potential but has also struggled with consistency and injuries. The Giants may believe that trading for a more established quarterback would give them a better chance at success in the competitive NFC East.
